Service Description

Step into the haunting beauty of New Orleans’ Cities of the Dead in this immersive clay workshop. You’ll create an exquisite lidded tomb — sculpted by hand from slabs of clay and detailed with carved brickwork, crosses, nameplates, and weathered texture that feels straight out of St. Louis Cemetery. This is not a quick project — it’s a three-hour, fully guided experience designed for makers who love detail and atmosphere. You’ll learn advanced clay-building techniques, guided carving, and creative aging effects that bring your tomb to life. Your finished piece can serve as a decorative urn, keepsake box, or simply an art object — a little monument of your own making. Reserve your spot early if this one calls to you. You will come back to glaze your tomb in about three weeks. Then we'll fire it again before you take it home for good. Beginners welcome. BYOB friendly. (This tomb could fit about two baseballs inside, for size reference)

Cancellation Policy

Your payment secures your space in this workshop, and is non-refundable, unless WE cancel. If we cancel, you will be refunded in full. In the event YOU have a change of plans, and you let us know with 48 hours or more notice, (email us at wrenworksartstudio@gmail.com) we will hold your payment on account to be credited towards another service, for 90 days. If you do not use your credit within 90 days it is forfeited. **Due to the nature of kiln-fired, handmade arts, slight imperfections can and do occur. These add to the uniqueness of your created piece! On rare occasions, kiln-fired pieces can crack or shatter during the firing process. While we take every precaution to ensure that this does not happen, there are some factors that are beyond our control. If a piece shatters, a credit will be issued.
