Make Your Own Pottery Event
Participants learn basic hand-building skills to make something out of clay.
Service Description
This package includes four participants (our minimum). Additional participants can be added for $40 per person, payable on the day of your event. We can accommodate up to 16. (More than this, we can come to you, contact us to learn more). Several days before your event, you'll let us know what you want to make. Generally, everyone makes the same thing, then customizes it to reflect their uniqueness! Create vases, bowls, animal sculptures, trinket dishes—the sky’s the limit! Once your pottery is complete, it will need time to dry before being fired in our kiln, a process that takes 7–13 days. Here’s what happens next: Bisque Firing: Your pottery will undergo its first firing. Glazing: We’ll glaze your pieces in the color of your choice. Glaze Firing: Your pottery will be fired again to set the glaze. The result is fully functional, dishwasher-, oven-, and microwave-safe pottery. However, we recommend hand-washing to preserve your special creations. We’ll notify you as soon as your pottery is ready for pick-up—approximately 3 weeks after your event. **Please note if you want to make larger items; Platters, Gnomes, Witch Hats, these will have a $20 additional fee added on to each person on the day of your event.

Cancellation Policy
Your payment of $160 reserves your date/time for two hours, and covers 4 participants. Additional participants will be billed the day of your event at $40/person. (**if you choose to build something larger, like a Gnome or Witch Hat, $20 additional will be added per person). Generally, you choose a glaze color, we glaze it for you and you pick up when it's done. In circumstances where you create a gnome/witch hat or something that has details, you will come back to the studio to glaze your creation about two weeks later. This is included in the $20 up charge). Payment is non-refundable. Should you need to re-schedule, and you let us know with 48 hours or more notice, we will hold your payment on account and work with you to reschedule your event within 90 days. If it is not re-scheduled in that time-frame the payment is forfeited. **Due to the nature of kiln-fired, handmade arts, slight imperfections can and do occur. These add to the uniqueness of your created piece! On rare occasions, kiln-fired pieces can crack or shatter during the firing process. While we take every precaution to ensure that this does not happen, there are some factors that are beyond our control. If a piece shatters, a credit will be issued.
