Service Description
Join us for a free 30-minute introduction to handbuilding — the most beginner-friendly way to work with clay. No wheel. No experience needed. Just a relaxed, welcoming space to try something new. You’ll create a small trinket dish while learning the basics of shaping, smoothing, and adding simple texture. We’ll fire your piece in our kiln, and it will be ready for pickup in about two weeks. Designed for adults (17+) who want to experience the studio before committing to a full class. If you leave inspired, we’ll share details about our upcoming beginner sessions. Spots are limited. Registration required.

What to Expect Your payment holds your spot, and if you need to reschedule with 48 hours’ notice, we’ll do our best to fit you in another time. Ceramics is hands-on and fun! Most pieces come out beautifully, but sometimes a piece may break in the kiln — it’s part of the process. If your piece was well made, we’re happy to help with a replacement credit. Small cracks, glaze variations, or slight warping are normal and make each piece unique. Our instructors are here to guide you every step of the way, so don’t hesitate to ask questions. Pottery takes time — drying and firing means your finished piece may take a few weeks, but we promise it’s worth the wait!
