Service Description
This two-hour introductory wheel-throwing class is designed to give you a fun, hands-on introduction to the basics of working on the pottery wheel. You’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing and have three opportunities to create your own pieces. Before you leave, you’ll choose your glaze color. We’ll glaze and fire your pieces for you, and they’ll be ready for pickup about four weeks later. This is a great class for beginners who want to try the wheel and see if our more immersive, month-long wheel-throwing class is right for you!

What to Expect Your payment holds your spot, and if you need to reschedule with 48 hours’ notice, we’ll do our best to fit you in another time. Ceramics is hands-on and fun! Most pieces come out beautifully, but sometimes a piece may break in the kiln — it’s part of the process. If your piece was well made, we’re happy to help with a replacement credit. Small cracks, glaze variations, or slight warping are normal and make each piece unique. Our instructors are here to guide you every step of the way, so don’t hesitate to ask questions. Pottery takes time — drying and firing means your finished piece may take a few weeks, but we promise it’s worth the wait!
