This is how we do it
We are open for walk-ins on Thursday from 2-8pm. All ages welcome until 5pm. After 5pm, we are adult only.
Pick a piece of pottery (TONS of selection).
Choose your glaze colors (over 90 to choose from).
Relax and enjoy painting your pottery!
*We use the word 'painting' as a verb; you are painting the glaze onto your pottery. Regular paints wouldn't stand a chance in the heat of the kiln. Glazes are made of special ingredients that actually vitrify in the kiln, coating your piece with a thin layer of glass.
Never glazed/painted pottery before? NO WORRIES! We are happy to offer pointers or guidance)- this is time for you to create with no rules or expectation. Just enjoy the process, the company and the memories you'll make.
Your pottery will be fired in our kiln (to about 1800 degrees -ooh that's hot!_ -this seals the piece, makes it food-safe, and brings the glaze to life. Viola! Your pottery is ready. Your pottery will be ready two weeks later; just swing by when we're open to pick it up.
PRICING is all-inclusive: The pottery/glaze/studio time/use of tools/kiln firing. We also clear-coat your piece, wipe the bottoms and sand the stilt marks for you, so when you receive your piece it looks 'finished and fabulous'!
Prices range from $5-$95 with most pieces falling in the $20-$40 range. (plus tax).
FAQ
Can we SIP N PAINT?
Yes! You bring the sips, we provide the glaze & pottery. Get your squad together and create! (minimum 6, maximum 25 )
$100 gets you the studio for two hours, for your group exclusively, then, you just pay for what you paint. You are welcome to use of our bluetooth speaker, and BYOB/snacks. What a great night out! Email us to book. We require a $50.00 deposit in advance.
*If you have 6 participants or less, we can do that, the studio rental fee is just higher. Call us to discuss.
Is PYOP for kids?
On Thursdays, until 5pm, PYOP is for all ages. After 5pm, we move into a more adult-oriented atmosphere, which allows guests to relax, enjoy a glass of wine (BYOB only), and have conversations without having to worry about age- appropriateness.
Do you need reservations?
At this time, we are 'walk in friendly', but if you want a guaranteed spot at your preferred time, we recommend emailing us to make a reservation. We can comfortably accommodate about 20 in our studio. If you make a reservation we'll hold your spot for 10 minutes past your time. If you don't show up we'll give the spots away, after all we're a small business and this is our livelihood.
