Cancellation Policy

This package includes five participants (our minimum). Additional participants can be added for $40 per person, payable on the day of your event. We can accommodate up to 16. Several days before your event, you'll let us know what you want to make. Generally, everyone makes the same thing, then customizes it to reflect their uniqueness! Create vases, bowls, animal sculptures, trinket dishes—the sky’s the limit! Once your pottery is complete, it will need time to dry before being fired in our kiln, a process that takes 7–13 days. Here’s what happens next: Bisque Firing: Your pottery will undergo its first firing. Glazing: We’ll glaze your pieces in the color of your choice. Glaze Firing: Your pottery will be fired again to set the glaze. The result is fully functional, dishwasher-, oven-, and microwave-safe pottery. However, we recommend hand-washing to preserve your special creations. We’ll notify you as soon as your pottery is ready for pick-up—approximately 3-4 weeks after your event. **Please note if you want to make larger items; Platters, Gnomes, Witch Hats, these will have a $30 additional fee added on to each person on the day of your event. Ceramics is a hands-on process, involving earth materials, and extremely high heat during the firing process. Most pieces move through the kiln without any issues. On rare occasions, however, a piece may break during firing. If a piece is well constructed and breaks during firing, we’re happy to help make it right with a replacement credit, at our discretion. Sometimes pieces break because parts weren’t attached securely, walls were too thick, or instructions weren’t followed. In those cases, we’re unable to offer replacements or credits. Our instructors demonstrate proper techniques and are always available to help — we strongly encourage asking questions and checking in if you’re unsure at any point. Small cracks, warping, glaze movement, or surface variations are a natural part of handmade pottery and are not considered defects. Pottery is a process; your piece may need to dry for up to two weeks before being fired. After it’s fired, it will be glazed, then it goes into the kiln again, for a second firing, called the glaze firing. We do our best to move pieces through the studio efficiently; we cannot rush the process. Therefore, expect that handmade pottery pieces may take up to four weeks to be complete.
